Chattahoochee Shakespear Company

Ok, so I thought, "Hey I know, I'll just take the shots from the play and make them into a movie. That sure will be a whole lot easier than posting them all..." Boy oh boy was I wrong. That took a whole lot of effort, of course, it was the first time that I have ever used Imovie... I hope that you enjoy my first attempt at making a photo flick.

Chatahoochee Shakespear Company

I was invited out to photograph the rehearsal of the play Measure for Measure. I was impressed by what can only be described as a truly talented group of actors, and a gifted director. I found myself having to remember to take shots, because I was so engrossed in the play. Here are a few of the shots that I managed to get.

I would also like to say that I have not intentionally left anyone out, I just have a whole bunch of these to edit, so if you don't see yourself please be patient. I will be getting there.

The fearless leader/director Troy Heard giving his pre-rehearsal speech. On a side note, I know that you are going to be mad at me for posting this Draculaesque image of you Troy, but you'll get over it.

This was the original chainsaw shot that I took.

The edited version.

Working with diffuse glow

I wanted to post the image that I used for this technique first, the tutorial will come later. Be looking sometime tomorrow night.

For that Vintage Feel...

Just had to put this up there too. For that vintage feel, set your ISO to 3200, slap a polarizer on that lens, then hit the add noise filter for added measure in Photoshop. Works great.

He took off the rose colored glasses, and became puzzled

Someone said, "That puzzled me." I took it literally, and thought that this would be a really cool idea...

Subtle Effects With Sepia Toning.

This is my friend and Co-Worker Jerry Mills. We argue like hell but when you get down to it, we are a lot alike. I was trying out an effect that I have been attempting to master, and I think that I got it. I will be creating a post that walks through it. With the right subject this can do amazing things.

The Re-edit:

O.K. I had to add another one. I just love this shot, and I think that the beauty that these birds have to offer is being overlooked, and this is a resource that we need to protect.

Digital Alterations...

Well, I guess that you never really think about it, but the digital darkroom is possibly the most powerful tool at your disposal. Well, other than a good camera, and the ability to white balance... For your viewing pleasure, another edit on the river, and a bird that I came across...

The hooch

Ok, so I'll admit. I needed to do a little closet cleaning. I found this image the other day while I was sick and cleaning up some files. I went back and found the originals. I think that the resulting HDR came out really well. There are things about it I like, and some that I don't. I think that there is too much space on the bottom, but still there is something about this image that I love. Before anyone grumbles about me not fixing the things that I did not like, I thought that I would make this interactive, you decide what needs to be fixed, and I will post revisions based on your critiques...
